Guilford Covered Bridge Park

The oldest park in the system is unique for a number of reasons, Guilford Covered Bridge Park is the site of the restored Guilford Covered Bridge, a major county landmark and frequent roadside tourist attraction, as well as an excellent family a gathering area with access to Tanners Creek.

Cars are permitted to drive through the wrought iron gates, across the bridge and park in the lower lot.  A small shelter house, basketball court, play equipment and bathroom are located in the central open space.  The park is a popular picnic spot and has been the site for many family reunions and even weddings.
